Customer Information Bulletin 439: April 2025
Welcome to the Customer Information Bulletin for April 2025.
This month we will cover:
• Mandate to use the Requisition Portal from 1 July 2025;
• New version of the WA Operating Requirements to take effect;
• Deadline extended for 2024 Strata manager Annual Returns; and
• Launch of the eConveyancing Payments Industry Code by AusPayNet.
Mandate to use Requisition Portal for electronic evidence and correspondence from 1 July 2025
Landgate launched the Requisition Portal in February 2024 to enable document lodging parties and preparing parties to upload electronic evidence and pay requisition fees or outstanding fees in response to stopped documents both efficiently and securely.
While the take-up of parties using the Requisition Portal has been excellent, Landgate still receives many emails with correspondence regarding stopped documents that could have been uploaded to the Requisition Portal, resulting in prolonged processing times.
To support faster processing of stopped documents, from 1 July 2025 use of the Requisition Portal will be mandatory. All electronic evidence and correspondence responding to stopped documents must be uploaded to the Requisition Portal . Emails received with requisition correspondence or electronic evidence after this date will be returned to the sender to be uploaded to the Requisition Portal.
It is important all documents lodged either electronically or in paper form include an email address, as this may be used to contact you if more information is needed to support the lodgement. If your business still uses older approved pdf forms instead of the available eForms, please update the form templates to include an email address instead of a fax number.
Please note evidence required to be originally signed such as statutory declarations should not be uploaded to the Requisition Portal. The original must be lodged in person at our Midland or Perth Offices or via post to Landgate.
Visit the Landgate website for additional information on the Requisition Portal including the user guide, FAQs and demonstration videos.
If you have any further questions about this upcoming change, please contact tlaamendments@landgate.wa.gov.au.
New version of the WA Operating Requirements to take effect
Version 7.1 of the WA Operating Requirements (WAOR) will take effect from 09 May 2025.
In Western Australia, Electronic Lodgment Network Operators must adhere to the WAOR which are determined by the Registrar of Titles and are based on the Model Operating Requirements developed by ARNECC.
Version 7.1 contains several key changes relating to interoperability.
On the Landgate website, you can now view both the full copy of the WAOR, and the marked up copy which details the changes from version 7 to this new version.
If you have any questions, please contact Landgate at dealings@landgate.wa.gov.au.
Deadline extended for 2024 Strata manager annual returns
Strata annual returns will remain open until 5pm Monday April 21, 2025.
This extension presents a valuable opportunity for you to contribute insights and opinions, shaping future policies that will guide the Strata Industry.
If you have already commenced preparing your return, ensure you complete and submit it by the extended closing date.
To access the portal or find out more information on what you need to do to submit your annual return, please visit the Landgate website.
