Landgate's August 2014 Business Activity Profile (BAP), released today, reports considerable increases in subdivisional lots created for the month.
Landgate Chief Executive Mike Bradford said, "While total document lodgements have stabilised over the past two months, there was an increase of 80 per cent in subdivisional lots created in August this year when compared to August 2013."
The total number of documents lodged in August 2014 (30,068) decreased by 2.69 per cent when compared to the previous month (30,898) and decreased by 0.17 per cent when compared to August 2013 (30,118).
Landgate's Business Activity Profile covers all property related documents lodged within Landgate and is a barometer of the state of the property market in Western Australia.
The August 2014 BAP is available on Landgate's website. It provides the monthly total of all
documents lodged with sections detailing transfers, mortgages, caveats, searches and other
categories of property related documents.
