A collection of Landgate's aerial photographs that capture the unique beauty of the Western Australian landscape have been transformed into stunning, contemporary art.
The images have been hand-selected from Landgate's vast aerial photography archives to create the 'Earth is Art' series.
Since the 1940's, Landgate, has captured more than one million frames of aerial photography covering the entire State of Western Australia.
Landgate Chief Executive, Mike Bradford, said he is pleased the images will be on display in the heart of Kings Park.
"As these images are uniquely West Australian, what better place to showcase them than at the Aspects gallery," he said.
The 'Earth is Art' series is a fascinating snapshot of Western Australia. From the pristine blue waters of the Abrolhos Islands, to the deep reds of the Kimberly, this series is truly a rare and breath-taking showcase of our unique natural heritage.
The selection of Landgate's stunning "Earth is Art" series is currently on show at Aspects of Kings Park.
"We hope that the public will love the collection as much as we do," Mr Bradford said.
All images on display will be for sale. To view the full collection visit www.landgate.wa.gov.au/earthisart
