Landgate has unveiled a new program aimed at increasing its level of Aboriginal employment.
Officially launching the plan Landgate Chief executive, Mike Bradford, said the fresh employment strategy
aimed to deliver meaningful employment and training opportunities for Aboriginal people.
Mr. Bradford said at present Aboriginal people make up about 1 per cent of Landgate's workforce, and the authority is looking to raise the rate to over 3 per cent.
"The vision of Landgate is to build the presence of Aboriginal employees across all job types and salary levels".
Mr. Bradford said employment of Aboriginal Australians is also a key objective of Landgate's Reconciliation Action Plan and a guiding factor in positioning Landgate as an employer of choice for Aboriginal people.
Landgate is Western Australia's primary source of land information and geographic data, providing the accuracy government, business and individuals rely on.
