What is included?
For the purposes of this dataset the term “residential property” refers to those properties that have been assessed as having a residential land usage for Landgate valuation purposes. This value may not necessarily align with local or state planning. A residential property can contain one or more land parcels. This dataset excludes properties classified as industrial, commercial, farming and miscellaneous and may not include vacant land.
The dataset includes the most current building attributes available for residential properties. Information is captured as part of the valuation process and is maintained via a range of sources including building and subdivisional notifications.
This dataset contains different information to the sales evidence dataset which is based on property attributes as at the time of last sale.

There are some residential properties that will not appear in the dataset. Based on the locality of these properties, the property classification and attribute information is not required for valuation purposes and is therefore not sourced or maintained. The property may be located in the Perth metropolitan area, a town site or a rural area; because capture and maintenance of this information is not required for these properties, they are not classified or included in the data. The property may be classified simply as vacant land and therefore have a property use of V- Vacant (not R- Residential), which is not included in this dataset.
Whereas the sales evidence data is the property data that was current as at the date of sale; the Residential Property Report contains property data that is determined to be the most current on the property as at the date of extraction. The sales evidence data is not updated with data that is effective after the date of sale, thereby keeping the data applicable to the state of the property as at the date of sale. The residential property attribute data is continually updated to represent the current state of the property from various sources.
To date, the release of non-residential data is not approved by the Minister for Lands. Only data for properties classified as residential are approved for release.
