What is a certified document?
A certified document provides assurance that the document you have purchased is a true and correct copy of the original. Organisations such as banks, may require proof that a document has been registered with Landgate. Certified copies of documents are stamped and signed (in black or blue ink) by a Landgate Assistant Registrar or Delegate of the Registrar.
Which documents can Landgate certify?
Landgate provides certification for a number of land registration documents. This includes certified copies of certificates of title, freehold surveys, Crown surveys, deposited plans and documents registered, deposited or lodged under the Transfer of Land Act or the Registration of Deeds Act.
